OLD EDWARDS RESERVE AT LAKE KEOWEE

CHARITABLEFOUNDATION

Our mission is to elevate and enrich the lives of upstate neighbors in need. Since 2005, our members have supported this mission by dedicating thousands of volunteer hours to local non-profits. Additionally, we have harnessed our members’ and corporate partners’ generosity, distributing millions of dollars to dozens of local charitable organizations that share our vision.

As a 501(c)(3), we concentrate our outreach in Pickens County, because we are acutely aware of the economic and social challenges faced by the community in which we live. Focusing our efforts close to home, our vision is to foster healthier, happier, and more productive lives for those who need it most in our community. To guide our future outreach and make the greatest impact, we have committed to three primary pillars, outlined below.

Supporting
Lifelong Learning

Education is the cornerstone of opportunity, and we believe in its power to unlock human potential. That’s why we provide educational scholarships for local students and partner with organizations that focus on learning. From improving financial literacy and children's reading skills to nurturing those with special needs, our partners support efforts that empower people of all ages to pursue their dreams.

Ending
Hunger

No one should have to face hunger, yet many in our community do. The food insecurity rate in our region is alarmingly high, leaving too many children and seniors without enough to eat. We are committed to changing this narrative by supporting partners that provide nutritious meals and compassionate companionship, helping to ensure our most vulnerable neighbors never go hungry.

Creating Safe
Spaces

All people deserve to have a haven where they can feel safe and secure. We work with partners that provide shelter for victims of abuse, offer recovery support to individuals battling addiction or disease, and create safer homes for disabled veterans. These efforts offer protection, foster environments that promote a sense of safety, and empower individuals to heal, grow, and thrive in supportive and secure spaces.
